Got a good night's sleep and awoke early to head to the train station, for the trip to Nice. Due to our early morning checkout, we thought we'd once again miss the free breakfast. However, upon entering the lobby, the smell of breakfast was in the air. There were many options available.
After a quick breakfast, we were off to the train station. The train station had some great stores. We found a few more bargains.
The 2.5 hour train ride was very relaxing and scenic.

Unfortunately, our seats were on the non-waterview side of a very crowded train. That meant, no opportunity for getting pics of the sea. Here's a bit of what I was able to capture:

Then, we were in Nice. Here's a little information about Nice:

Our hotel was across the street from the train station. This allowed us to quickly get to the hotel, drop our belongings in the room and get into the heart of the city. First, find a lunch spot. Along the way, there were some beautiful buildings.

Saw a sign advertising unlimited mussels and fries. After viewing the delivery of an overflowing pot of mussels, to a diner's table, we decided this would be our lunch spot, for the day. The mussels were wonderfully delicious. We also added a salad.
After two pots of mussels, we were ready for a doggie bag and a little sightseeing. We continued down Rue Massena and then turned right, toward the sea.

Nice was lovely. I'd love to return, for a longer visit.
Next stop, Paris.
